The interview questions that I ask each subject is highly customized based on their story and what you hope to capture in this film. When you book a film, we have a pre-production zoom where I learn more about your loved one, which helps me customize my interview questions document. I don’t provide these to my subjects ahead of time, as I want our conversation to be “the first time” they’re sharing with me which tends to elicit more authentic answers, and the beauty of the interview is that it’s fluid; while I have my interview document as a guide, and I will be sure to cover the most important ones, the conversation flows and I love to see where it takes us. This often reveals unexpected and irreverent stories that you may have never heard!
